Baseball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rutland Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 16-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bryce Talley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Five bases. while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Evans, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rutland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-0-1.

Coming up, Northeast will venture away from home to challenge Jefferson County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rutland, they will welcome Howard at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
