Softball Recap: Caney Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when Caney challenged Tupelo on Tuesday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Cougars have won four games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Caney's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Tupelo, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Caney and Tupelo will both be playing Coalgate the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
