Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Warriors vs. Village Christian Crusaders

Heritage Christian is 1-9 against Village Christian since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Heritage Christian Warriors will face off against the Village Christian Crusaders at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Heritage Christian came up short against Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) and fell 47-40. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Village Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Valley Christian 75-30. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Village Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Heritage Christian lost to Village Christian on the road by a decisive 62-44 margin when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Village Christian's Sandrina Panaligan, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Now that Heritage Christian knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
