Lincoln is a perfect 8-0 against MacArthur since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Railsplitters will head out to take on the Generals at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Lincoln made easy work of Auburn and carried off a 10-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Railsplitters in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, MacArthur made easy work of Urbana on Tuesday and carried off an 11-4 victory.

Aidan Bruce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for MacArthur: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-17 otherwise.

In other batting news, Sean Abraham was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Zion Bradford, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Lincoln's record is now 20-9. As for MacArthur, their record now sits at 10-17.

Lincoln was able to grind out a solid win over MacArthur when the teams last played back in April, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Railsplitters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
