With a playoff win on the line, Shafter rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Bakersfield Christian Eagles  60-57. The Generals are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.
It was another big night for  Isela Lugo, who  went 7-for-11  on her way to 21  points and eight  boards. That's the most points  she has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was  Alexia Ramirez, who  dropped  a double-double with ten  points and 11  rebounds.
 Shafter  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive boards in eight consecutive  matches.
Shafter's victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 24-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.5 points. As for Bakersfield Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.
 Coming up, Shafter will take on Sierra at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Sierra will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Shafter surely won't give up without a fight. Bakersfield Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
