Softball Recap: Seckman Comes Up Short

Seckman lost against Jackson two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-1 to the Fighting Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seckman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Bantle, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Bantle is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Seckman now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Seckman will head out to take on Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Jackson, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lafayette at 11:00 a.m.
