Baseball Game Preview: Glascock County Panthers vs. Brentwood War Eagles

The Glascock County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Brentwood War Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Glascock County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Glascock County didn't have quite enough to beat Georgia School for Innovation & Classics and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Brentwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Trinity Christian. The matchup marked the War Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brentwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JW Hitchcock, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Glascock County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Brentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Glascock County couldn't quite get it done against Brentwood in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 9-4. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
