Football Game Preview: Portage Central Mustangs vs. Byron Center Bulldogs + How To Watch

Portage Central is 0-3 against Byron Center since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Portage Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Everett 67-19. The Mustangs' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Byron Center prevailed. They claimed a resounding 47-6 win over Portage Northern. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Huskies are ranked 108th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Portage Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Byron Center, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Portage Central was taken down by Byron Center 52-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 42-7.
