Football Game Preview: Edison Tommies vs. Spectrum Sting

Edison is 0-5 against Spectrum since September of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tommies will be playing at home against the Sting at 6:00 p.m.

Edison is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of Breck.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spectrum). They claimed a resounding 62-18 victory over Minneapolis South/Roosevelt. The win was nothing new for the Sting as they're now sitting on three straight.

One reason for the win was Spectrum's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Isaac Shopek and Mason Carlson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Edison was dealt a bruising 66-8 defeat at the hands of Spectrum when the teams last played back in September of 2018. Thankfully for the Tommies, Fisher Marberg (who rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only six passes) won't be suiting up this time.
