Basketball Game Preview: Saratoga Falcons vs. Santa Clara Bruins

The Saratoga Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Santa Clara Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Saratoga took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over Palo Alto. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Clara). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-11 victory over MacDonald. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bruins have posted since November 26, 2024.

Saratoga's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7. As for Santa Clara, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.

Saratoga came up short against Santa Clara in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 47-35. Can Saratoga avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
