Basketball Recap: 22 Straight Home Victories for Atwater

It's playoff time, and Atwater had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Grant Pacers 70-54 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

It was another big night for Karissa Hukill, who shot 48% from the field on her way to 31 points along with eight steals and seven boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. Jolie Hart was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Atwater smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Atwater's win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.3 points. As for Grant, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-10 record.

Atwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-49 victory against Christian Brothers on the 27th. As for Grant, they have also already played their next game, a 66-61 loss against Sierra Pacific on the 4th.
