Basketball Recap: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Wooster Colts
In what's become a running theme this season, the South Tahoe Vikings gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Wooster for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-27 win on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point South Tahoe had established a 28 point advantage.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Tahoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Robinson, who scored 13 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Mathews, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Wooster lost, one person who can't be blamed is Khloe Glover. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points.
South Tahoe has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Wooster, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Tahoe will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th. Truckee is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Wooster, they will head out on the road to challenge the Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sparks is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
