Volleyball Recap: Montgomery Central Takes a Loss

Montgomery Central managed to slip by Central Davidson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Timberwolves came up short against the Spartans on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Timberwolves' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-10.

Leading Central Davidson to victory were Cayman James and Jaelynn Rhodes. James had ten digs and two aces, while Rhodes had six assists and four aces. That's the most aces Rhodes has posted over her last six matchups.

Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Central Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Montgomery Central will challenge High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Davidson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Ledford on the 17th.
