Baseball Recap: Central Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Christian can now relate to. They lost 14-1 to the Hearts Academy Panthers on Friday. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Central Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Gazaway, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Central Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1. As for Hearts Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

While Central Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
