Softball Recap: Tift County Victorious

Tift County hadn't beaten Thomas County Central on the road since September 29, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Blue Devils walked away with an 8-3 win over the Yellow Jackets. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

The victory got Tift County back to even at 1-1. As for Thomas County Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tift County will head out to challenge Lee County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Thomas County Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
