St. John won the last time they faced Ascension Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles put the hurt on Ascension Christian with a sharp 39-13 win. Considering the Eagles have won three contests by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for St. John and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 27 points in those games. As for Ascension Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
