Softball Recap: Silex's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Silex came out on top against Union on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Owls took their contest against the Wildcats 10-6. The win was familiar territory for the Owls, who have now won three games in a row.

Rylan Harris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kylie Twellman was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Olivia Wotring also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Silex hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Silex's record is now 11-6. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

As of now, neither Silex nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
