Softball Recap: Newsome Wins Going Away Against Bloomingdale

The third road match was the charm for Newsome, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against the Bloomingdale Bulls on Tuesday as the Newsome Wolves made off with a 7-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wolves have posted against the Bulls since April 25, 2019.

The result came thanks to Allyson Conner's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Arriana N Williams, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Bella Gulle also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Newsome now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bloomingdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Newsome will square off against Auburndale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bloomingdale, they will challenge Enterprise at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
