Softball Recap: Effingham County Takes a Loss

Effingham County fell victim to Harris County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Effingham County's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Harris County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Effingham County and Harris County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Rebels (ranked 27th) will meet St. Pius X Catholic (ranked 86th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Harris County will challenge Morgan County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (18 vs. 95).
