Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Elk River). They blew past the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders 61-27  on Wednesday. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  28-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elk River to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Braedon Becker, who rushed for 186 yards and one  touchdown on only eight carries. Becker is becoming a predictor of the Elks' success: when he posts  at  least 80  rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).  Levi Harris was in the mix  as well, providing Elk River with two TDs.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Elk River was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 617  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Elk River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Harris and  Caleb Healy.
Elk River's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 51.2 points over those games. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 5-3.
As of now, neither Elk River nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
