Football Recap: Northwest Rankin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Northwest Rankin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Brandon, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Gavin Phillipson threw for 75 yards on 15 of 33 attempts. De'Shawn Dillon was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Jermany Hayden rushed for 69 yards.

Northwest Rankin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brandon, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.

Northwest Rankin and Brandon will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Cougars see the field they'll take on Pearl at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Brandon, their break will end when they face Petal at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
