It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Colonel Crawford had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Wynford Royals 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 28th.

Van Wintersteller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wintersteller was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Grady Riggle was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run.

Colonel Crawford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.

Colonel Crawford's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Wynford, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

As of now, neither Colonel Crawford nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
