Baseball Recap: Rutland Takes a Loss

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Pike County Pirates, falling 15-0. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rutland's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Pike County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pirates beat Rutland by a score of 16-5 on Monday.
