Archbishop Wood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-32 margin over the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Hurricanes are ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Archbishop Wood's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Villa Maria Academy, they moved to 16-12 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
