Soccer Recap: Pinole Valley Takes a Loss

The Pinole Valley Spartans came up short against the El Cerrito Gauchos on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Chantelle Tejada, who's now up to nine this season.

Pinole Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for El Cerrito, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

Pinole Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Saint Mary's on the 23rd. As for El Cerrito, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Richmond on the 24th.
