Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilroy). They blew past the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals 58-29 on Thursday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Gilroy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilroy will challenge Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Live Oak's defense has only allowed 25.1 points per game this season, so Gilroy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will take on Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mt. Pleasant is facing Oak Grove at the right time seeing as Oak Grove is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
