Preview: Linden Lions vs. Stagg Delta Kings
The Linden Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stagg Delta Kings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Linden has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Stagg will arrive with five straight victories.
Linden suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. Their rough 62-41 defeat to Franklin might stick with them for a while. Linden has not had much luck with Franklin recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Stagg posted their biggest victory since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Bear Creek 63-39.
Jameelah Pharms was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 41 points and ten steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Stagg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Ogle, who scored five points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Linden's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-17. As for Stagg, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Linden took a serious blow against Stagg in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 50-19. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Linden was down 28-8.
