Softball Recap: Howe Starts off Right with Win over Talihina

Howe gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Talihina Golden Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Golden Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howe will venture away from home to face off against Wilburton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Talihina, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heavener at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
