Basketball Recap: Jadyn Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chowchilla

Yosemite lost to Chowchilla back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Yosemite Badgers came out on top against the Chowchilla Tribe by a score of 50-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yosemite to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadyn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Johnson also posted five blocks, which is notable because Yosemite is undefeated when she posts at least five blocks, but 5-16 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sierra Brooks, who posted nine points.

Yosemite's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Chowchilla, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Yosemite will face off against Minarets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chowchilla, they will take on Fowler on Tuesday. Chowchilla is facing Fowler at the right time seeing as Fowler is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
