Cleveland waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Birmingham Patriots. Considering the Cavaliers have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Birmingham with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yesenia Gomez (2), Cindy Martinez, and Yaretzi Munoz.

Cleveland's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Birmingham, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleveland will take on El Camino Real at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Birmingham, they will square off against Granada Hills Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Birmingham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
