Softball Recap: Milton Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gainesville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milton). Everything went their way against the Gainesville Red Elephants on Thursday as they made off with a 17-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Elizabeth Wilkes was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophia Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Milton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .424 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Milton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Gainesville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2.
