Volleyball Recap: Calexico Has No Trouble Against Vincent Memorial

Calexico had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Vincent Memorial on Thursday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Scots with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Scots: they've now won seven in a row.

One reason for the win was Calexico's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-12.

DANA LOPEZ was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

LOPEZ wasn't the only good servers: Calexico was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in six consecutive contests.

Calexico's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Vincent Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
