Brandywine Heights Area skates past Pottsgrove with ease

Recap: Brandywine Heights Area Bullets vs. Pottsgrove Falcons

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, a fact the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets proved on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 44-16 victory over Pottsgrove on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brandywine Heights Area.

Brandywine Heights Area can attribute much of their success to Addison Benner, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Benner has scored at least 25% of Brandywine Heights Area's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Moyer, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

Despite the loss, Pottsgrove still got an impressive performance from Jessica Carroll, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Carroll scored a full 50% of Pottsgrove's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Leaman, who scored 3 points along with 3 steals.

Brandywine Heights Area's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pottsgrove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandywine Heights Area is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Pope John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Pottsgrove, they will take on Marple Newtown at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
