Softball Recap: Meeker Gets the Win

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Meeker and Okemah have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Bulldogs walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 two weeks ago.

Meeker's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Okemah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meeker will take on rival Dale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Okemah is set to face off against their familiar foe Coalgate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
