Baseball Recap: Science Leadership Academy vs. Franklin Towne Warriors

Science Leadership Academy extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They came up short against the Franklin Towne Warriors, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Science Leadership Academy of the 22-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Science Leadership Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Attanasio, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Cash Iezzi also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

At the plate, Robert Brant was a standout: he got on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ocasio, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one triple.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Science Leadership Academy will head out to challenge Abington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Towne, they will venture away from home to take on Masterman at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
