The Cathedral Catholic Dons were dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of the La Jolla Country Day Torreys on Saturday. The game marked the Dons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cathedral Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckinnley Hanlon, who posted seven points. La Jolla Country Day got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mei-Ling Perry out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Atlanta Bass-Sulpizio, who went 6 for 10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Cathedral Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for La Jolla Country Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
