Softball Recap: Palisade Comes Up Short

Palisade was the 12-11 winner over Rocky Mountain when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 9-8 on Friday.

Madi Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Cadence Segers also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Palisade now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Rocky Mountain, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Palisade didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-2 win against Moffat County on the 5th. As for Rocky Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-7 defeat against Air Academy on the 6th.
