League recap: Ware County leads league with five wins since last week

3B-AAAAA league recap: 3/13/13

Top honors in the league this week go to Ware County, which finished with five wins overall, good for best in the league. The Gators beat Windsor Forest 15-0, Jenkins 5-2 and Coffee 7-4.

Glynn Academy made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from fourth to second place in 3B-AAAAA thanks to a 2-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, the Knights fell hardest in the standings, dropping from first all the way to fourth place after going 0-1 in the past week. First-place Ware County (6-2, 2-0) went 5-2 over the past week.

Bradwell Institute boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Kyle Lannum, who turned in four Ks for the Tigers. He's third in the league with seven total strikeouts.
