Softball Game Preview: Knoxville Panthers vs. Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets

Knoxville is 8-2 against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont since June of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will welcome the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Knoxville and three for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.

Knoxville came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Centerville by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since June 4th.

Meanwhile, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont came up short against Carlisle on Saturday and fell 7-2.

Knoxville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Knoxville was able to grind out a solid victory over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 10-6. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
