Venice is 9-0-1 against Westchester since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Venice Gondoliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Westchester Comets at 4:30 p.m. Westchester took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Venice, who comes in off a win.

If Venice beats Westchester with four goals on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Venice put the hurt on Hamilton with a sharp 4-1 win on Wednesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Meanwhile, Westchester fell victim to Los Angeles CES and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Unicorns, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 758th, while the Unicorns are ranked 345th).

The victory made it two in a row for Venice and bumps their season record up to 8-2-3. As for Westchester, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything went Venice's way against Westchester in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Venice made off with a 10-2 win. In that match, Venice amassed a halftime lead of 7-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
