Baseball Recap: M.L. King Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

M.L. King entered their tilt with Drew on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against Drew as they made off with a 15-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-5 last Monday.

Keontae Banks was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. M.L. King is undefeated when Banks posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jaharre Leach, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

M.L. King always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

M.L. King's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Drew, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coming up, M.L. King will challenge Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. M.L. King is facing Creekside at the right time seeing as Creekside is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Drew, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Pace Academy at 5:55 p.m. Pace Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Drew likes a good challenge.
