Softball Game Preview: Antlers Bearcats vs. Whitesboro Bulldogs

The Antlers Bearcats will head out to challenge the Whitesboro Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Antlers has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with seven straight defeats, while Whitesboro will come in with seven straight victories.

Monday just wasn't the day for Antlers' offense. They came up short against Silo on Monday, falling 20-0.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Whitesboro blew past Spiro 20-1. The result was nothing new for Whitesboro, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Lillie Fincher was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Fincher was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Whitesboro got a massive performance out of Jemma Arnold, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Makinley Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Whitesboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Antlers' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Whitesboro, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
