Baseball Game Preview: North Polk Comets vs. Ballard Bombers

North Polk is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Ballard is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Comets will host the Bombers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ballard took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North Polk, who comes in off a win.

North Polk is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Saydel 14-2 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Ballard was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Carlisle by a score of 4-2. The Bombers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ballard's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for North Polk, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
