Hollister waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-64 W against the Watsonville Wildcatz. This was a revenge game for the Haybalers: when they faced off against the Wildcatz back in January, they had to take a 43-39 defeat.

Watsonville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fernanda Lazo, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Lazo a new career-high. Stephanie Martinez was another key player, going 6 for 12 to rack up 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Hollister's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Watsonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Hollister didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-33 victory against Soledad on the 3rd. As for Watsonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-16 win against Everett Alvarez on the 30th.
