Volleyball Recap: Medina Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Medina Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the LEE Volunteers 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-102) Medina Valley actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Ma'Leeya Eatmon and Madelynn Salazar, who picked up 15 kills apiece. They got some help from Alana Smith and her 45 assists. Haylee Bull controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Medina Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for LEE, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Medina Valley will be taking part in a tournament against McAllen Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for LEE, they will take on Jay at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
