Basketball Recap: Boulder Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boulder managed to keep up with Ralston Valley until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Panthers were beaten by the Mustangs 68-37. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, Boulder still got an impressive performance from Lexi Oder, who shot 53% from the field en route to 27 points.

Santana Sabus continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ralston Valley, going 12-for-21 on her way to 30 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Sabus has scored at least a third of the Mustangs' points. Sammi Madden was another key player, shooting 86% from beyond the arc to rack up 20 points.

Boulder is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Ralston Valley, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Boulder has already played their next matchup, a 58-42 defeat against Monarch on the 16th. As for Ralston Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-40 win against Evergreen on the 13th.
