Basketball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Bravo Knights

The Wilson Mules are taking a road trip to square off against the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Wilson is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Marshall on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mules lost 41-18 to the Barristers. The Mules haven't had much luck with the Barristers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bravo came up short against Eagle Rock on Wednesday, falling 51-25. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1025th, while the Eagles are ranked 397th).

Bravo's loss dropped their record down to 7-17-1. As for Wilson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Wilson and Bravo were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Wilson came up empty-handed after a 25-24 loss. Can the Mules avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
