Kate Kennedy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hebron Christian got a massive performance out of Gabby Raysor, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Raysor has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Rylie Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Francis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Milton 9-7.
Ramsay Striggles 2028 made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing eight innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Striggles 2028 was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ansley Rabern 2028, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Olivia Bocchicchio 2027 was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
St. Francis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Hebron Christian's record is now 22-1. As for St. Francis, their record now sits at 10-7.
St. Francis' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Hebron Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for St. Francis, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Hebron Christian keep running through batters, or will the Knights buck the trend?
Hebron Christian took their victory against St. Francis when the teams last played back in August of 2020 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
