Football Recap: Adams City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Adams City extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were outmatched by the Denver North Vikings and fell 50-0. The Eagles lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 31-6 score last time.

As for Denver North, the win got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their three-point performance the game before.

Denver North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Wylde, who rushed for 28 yards and a pair of scores. An impressive showing, but Wylde really ramped things up playing D: he forced one fumble and made 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss). Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Chase Pittman, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Adams City will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Greeley Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Denver North, they will head out on the road to square off against Grand Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
