It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Union ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rolla Bulldogs, sneaking past 7-6. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches in a row.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Rolla, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will welcome Hermann at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Rolla, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against North County at 3:00 p.m.
